Whether a client is seeking to make a significant investment or is looking to open or expand their business venture in the UK, our team provides strategic advice on the best options to meet their long-term immigration goals. Our team has extensive experience and intricate knowledge of the complex rules relating to the investor and entrepreneur-related categories and are ideally placed to advise individuals from outside UK (including the European Economic Area (EEA)/Switzerland) who wish to live in the UK on the basis of business and investment. There are a few routes available under this category. These include Tier 1 (Investor), Innovator, Start Up, Tier 1 Entrepreneur and Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur.
What is the Tier 1 (Investor) route?
Tier 1 (Investor) is for nationals from outside the UK (including the EEA/Switzerland) who make a significant investment of at least £2 million in the UK.
We have experience advising high net worth individuals seeking to come to the UK as Tier 1 (Investor) migrants. Our dedicated team does not simply prepare our clients’ applications, rather, we provide end-to-end service in relation to short- and long-term strategy and planning according to each individual’s specific needs. Moreover, our experienced staff is there to lobby the Home Office with regard to complex cases and those requiring discretion.
Fixed fees
We work on a fixed fee basis. Our fees for individual Tier 1 (Investor) applications typically range between £5000– £7000 and disbursements depending upon whether the application is for initial leave, an extension or indefinite leave to remain in the UK (ILR) as well as on the specific issues, urgencies and complexities involved.
Disbursements
You can expect the main disbursements to include:
Dependants
For dependant application fees, please refer to our Dependants section. Dependants typically incur the same disbursements as main applicants.
The Innovator route replaces Tier 1 (Entrepreneur), enabling experienced entrepreneurs from outside the UK (including the EEA/Switzerland) to establish a business in the UK. The applicant must secure an endorsement from a Home Office-approved endorsing body, verifying that their business is innovative, viable and scalable. A minimum investment of £50,000 is required in most cases.
Key features
Our team’s in-depth knowledge of the predecessor Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) category, as well as involvement in Home Office lobbying and policy direction, means we are well placed to advise on Innovator applications. We manage the entire application process from obtaining the necessary endorsement through to advising on requirements for future applications in order to ensure clients remain compliant.
We work on a fixed fee basis. Our fees for individual Innovator applications typically range between £5,000 – £8,000 and disbursements depending upon whether the application is for initial leave, an extension or Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) in the UK as well as on the specific issues, urgencies and complexities involved.
Disbursements
You can expect the main disbursements to include:
Dependants
For dependant application fees, please refer to our Dependants section. Dependants typically incur the same disbursements as main applicants.
The Start-up route enables new entrepreneurs from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland to establish their first business in the UK.
Applicants must secure an endorsement from a Home Office approved endorsing body (many of which are UK higher education institutions), verifying that their business plan is innovative, viable and scalable.
Time spent in the UK does not count towards indefinite leave to remain (ILR) and many Start-up migrants will wish to progress as soon as possible to the Innovator route.
